The next Catholic Social Service Adoption Workshop Series for couples who are interested in open-adoption and the issues faced when raising an adopted child has been scheduled for this fall at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City. Workshops will take place on September 10, October 1st and 15th, and November 20th. A range of child development topics are addressed including specific developmental issues of children who have been adopted, attachment and bonding issues, and grief and loss issues. Henry Hildebrandt and in Spanish on September 12th, 3:00-6:00 p.m., taught by Sr. Angela Erevia.  "The Bible was written thousands of years ago in a foreign language for a people whose beliefs, culture, and customs were different from ours.  Trying to understand the Bible and interpret it from a twenty-first century perspective can be frustrating unless we have the skills necessary to read the Bible in an educated manner, interpret it correctly, and apply it to our lives in the context of our God-given faith."  --The Center for Learning
