Presentation of Candidates:  After the Gospel, the pastor presents the candidates to the bishop for Confirmation.  The candidates stand for the presentation.

After the bishop's homily, there is the Renewal of Baptismal Promises.  This renewal is concluded by the bishop saying the formula, "This is our faith, …"  If, by way of exception, this formula is to be followed by a hymn, it must be VERY BRIEF and suitable for the occasion.  If there is to be such a hymn, please give the title:  __________________________________.

Imposition of Hands over the Candidates:  Candidates kneel while Bishop extends his hands and prays.

Anointing with Chrism:  Please have the congregation and/or choir sing Veni Sancte Spiritus during entire time the anointing is occurring.  If the congregation or choir does not sing during this time, please have the accompanist play this during the anointing.  It is recommended that names be given in a clear voice by sponsor or candidate.  The candidate should remain standing directly in front of the bishop who will stand at the entrance of the sanctuary.

General Intercessions:  Who will read these? ______________________________
If there is more than one reader, all should be standing in readiness near the microphone.

Liturgy of the Eucharist:
Will the newly confirmed bring the gifts to the altar? ____________________

Instrumental music or a hymn may be used during the Preparation of Gifts.  This music should be of such length that it is completed when the presider has finished the washing of the hands.  If incensing altar and gifts is done, the music should be completed when the incensing and washing of hands is finished.

Will the presentation of gifts take place in silence?   ___________

The Eucharistic Acclamations and the Lamb of God should always be sung at Masses in which music is used.  Please indicate versions to be used:

Following the period of silent reflection after Communion, the assembly may rise and sing a Hymn of Praise (GIRM 56j).  This is followed by the Concluding Prayer (Prayer after Communion).  If this option is chosen, it is suggested that the Recessional music be instrumental.
