Seminarian Support

There are multiple ways to support seminarians. A popular way is in the form of a seminary burse.

What is a Seminary Burse?

  • A seminary burse is an endowment fund that is used to pay the tuition, room and board for seminarians in the Diocese of Dodge City. Anyone can set up a seminary burse in honor of a loved one or as a personal giving mechanism with as little as $1,000 or make a contribution in any amount to an existing burse.

How can I Contribute?

  • Commonly, a seminary burse is created with a gift of cash. However, gifts of securities, life insurance or 401k gifts can be made. Give wisely, consult an accountant to see what type of gift works best in your situation.

If you find the idea of a seminary burse interesting, contact the Office of Development and Planned Giving to contribute or create your own legacy in the form of a seminary burse.
