Catholic Social Service

"Pope Benedict XVI, in his first Encyclical, reminds us that the love of the Church needs to be 'organized' not only to be effective but even more to be faithful. Our Holy Father reminds us that the Acts of the Apostles speaks of a social service provided in the New Testament Church that was absolutely concrete, yet at the same time spiritual. Catholic Social Service ~ Catholic Charities for Southwest Kansas is a primary way in which we in the Diocese of Dodge City faithfully organize the love of our Church for the service of God’s people within and beyond our Church."

+Ronald M. Gilmore,

Bishop of Dodge City
