Diocese celebrates unity amid diversity
People from across the Diocese of Dodge City gathered at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City Dec. 5, 2009 for a Mass celebrating the diversity of cultures within the Church of southwest Kansas. The Mass was celebrated by the Most Rev. Ronald M. Gilmore, Bishop of Dodge City. The event, which also was held to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe, included dance groups from several parishes who were there not to entertain, but to share, through dance, a prayer of thanksgiving, hope, and community.
Here is a brief introduction to the ITV (Interactive Television) system that is utilized in the Diocese of Dodge City in partnership with Newman University in Wichita. The system allows participants to attend classes in or close to their home town, that are being taught miles away, and to interact with the instructor.
