Charity Wine Tasting event, April 17, Great Bend
Catholic Social Service will present the 3
rd Annual Charity Wine Tasting event from 7-10 p.m., Friday, April 16 at The Club at Stone Ridge in Great Bend.Admission is $25 per person. Hors d’oeuvres will be served. Live entertainment will be provided by classical guitarist, Richard F. Falcon, Jr., whose top-selling CD, "Send Angels" has sold world-wide.
There will be a silent auction, as well as a live auction by Ken Schremmer, Pat Keenan and T. R. Esfeld. Items to be auctioned include vintage wines, aged cheeses and other wine memorabilia.

Father William Vogel Memorial Golf Tournament, April 25
St. Nicholas School will present the Fourth Annual Father William Vogel Memorial Golf Tournament 2-Person Scramble Sunday, April 25 at the Kinsley Country Club. A hole-in-one on #8 could win participant a new golf cart.

Cost is $70 per team. The field is not limited. Registration starts at 8 a.m.; shotgun start is at 9:30 a.m.
Carts are available for $15. Lunch is also available, but is not included in entry fee. Proceeds go to St. Nicholas School.
Crafters sought for fair
The Sacred Heart Cougar Craft Fair is looking for crafters and donators from all areas for an Arts & Crafts Fair at Dodge City Sacred Heart School April 24. People are sought who would like to donate items, time, or funding. For more information, contact Holly Naccarato at (620) 338-5763.
St. Mary’s, Hodgeman County to celebrate centennial
The St. Mary’s community of Hodgeman County extends an invitation to its Centennial on Saturday, May 1. All former pastors, sisters, parishioners, friends and neighbors are welcome to spend an evening of prayer and reminiscing. A tent with video will be provided for any overflow crowd.
The event will start with a Mass at 4 p.m., celebrated by Bishop Ronald M. Gilmore. Following the Mass and visit to the cemetery, a light meal will be served.

NFP class: Ovulation method
Classes on the Ovulation method of natural family planning are available in the diocese by a fully certified teacher. The Ovulation method is based on a woman’s awareness of the importance of certain naturally occurring signs that appear regularly during her reproductive years and is a natural sign of fertility. The Ovulation method can be used by all women at any time during their reproductive life, in long, short, or irregular cycles, while breastfeeding or in pre-menopause. This method is approved by the Catholic Church and can be used in achieving or postpooning pregnancy. It is 99 percent effective.
