Nearly 330 students in kindergarten through eighth grade
at Sacred Heart Cathedral School in Dodge City formed a giant "no smoking"
sign in the school’s parking lot March 30. The event was one of several
projects the children initiated after the school received a $1,800 grant
from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to educate students
about the hazards of smoking. The grant required that children design,
organize and implement the projects. Frances Waldren of Catholic Social
Service acquired the grant. See this picture in color at www.dcdiocese.org.
