Couple honored for leading Engaged Encounter 28 years Linda and Leon Sobba of Ellinwood were recognized after the Chrism Mass March 29 for the 28 years they coordinated the Engaged Encounter in the Diocese of Dodge City. The Sobbas are retiring from their positions after having coordinated and led the EE weekends -- designed for those couples preparing for marriage -- since the program was initiated in the diocese in 1979. As a token of appreciation, Bishop Gilmore presented the Sobbas with a copy of the tapestry, "The Baptism of Jesus" that hangs in the Cathedral. The new coordinators for the EE weekends are Michael and Lindsay Mazouch of Great Bend. For more information on EE weekends, go to http://www.dcdiocese.org/Marriage/cathmarriagepage.htm.
