Catechist Formation Program
For all volunteers involved with Religious Education and Sacramental Preparation
The Catechist Formation Program is an educational tool designed to help all those in the Dodge City Diocese who have been called to pass the faith on to the next generation.
Three sessions will be presented:
1. Sept. 7 or Sept. 10
"Weaving Justice, Faith, and Service Together"
2. Nov. 16 or Nov. 19
"Weaving Justice, Liturgy, and Service Together"
3. Jan. 4 or Jan. 7
"Weaving Justice, our Bodies, and Service Together"
Sept. 7, Nov. 16 and Jan. 4 are Wednesday evening sessions and they will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. Supper will be provided.
Sept. 10, Nov. 19 and Jan. 7 are Saturday morning sessions and will begin at 9 a.m. and end at Noon. Brunch will be provided.
The Catechist Formation Program is presented over Interactive Television to eight different sites in the diocese: Dodge City, Garden City, Great Bend, Liberal, Marienthal, Pratt, Sharon, and Ulysses.
The Interactive Television mode of broadcast allows the diocese to present the material to all simultaneously without requiring anyone to travel very far.
A diocesan certificate is awarded to those who attend three formation sessions.
