KofC donates $300 to St. Stanislaus Parish |

Jim Legleiter, recording secretary for the Knights of Columbus Stanislaus Council, Ingalls, presents a check for $300 to Kathy Hornung, director of religious education of Stanislaus Parish. Also pictured is Father Francis Jordan, council chaplain. Each year, the Knights of Columbus present similar checks to the parishes that apply for funds for their religious education programs throughout Kansas. Last year, the Knights donated more than $90,000 to Kansas parishes. The grand knight of every council receives the application forms to apply. Unfortunately some councils fail to do so and so their parishes do not receive financial help. These checks are sent out before Christmas each year. The applications are sent to the state chaplain for review. | |
