The Mary Queen of Peace Youth Group in Ulysses presented a pro-life skit Jan. 23, the day after the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision issued by the Supreme Court which legalized all forms of abortion. The presentation was offered during an hour of adoration in penance for the aborted babies over the last 33 years. The skit presented four babies waiting to be born in heaven: a happy baby, an unwanted baby, an armless baby and a baby born of rape. According to Mary Queen of Peace pastor, Father Jim Dieker, the skit provided a surprising but tragic ending when it was the happy baby who was aborted. The skit was accompanied with a slide and music reflection about life. Those acting in the skit included Cort Malone, K’cie Kinsinger, and Pepe and Jannie Meierhoff. Sponsors of the youth group are Mike Franco, Maureen Meierhoff, Linda Neatherlin, and Nacho Chavez.
