Youth Rally 2006 coming to Dodge City in March

Students in grades eight through 12 are invited to attend the annual Youth Rally, March 25-26 at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City.

The theme for the event is, "Banded Together With God."

According to Steven Polley, Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Dodge City, the goal of the weekend is to "have fun and celebrate our faith" by:

• hearing wonderful speakers who live the faith daily;

• incorporating dynamic music into the weekend;

• attending special topic breakout sessions on daily issues that affect our lives;

• going into the community as one group, offering our service, and;

• building a bridge between cultures.

Most of all, Polley said the weekend will allow youth to "have fun through games, dancing and just hanging out together."

The overnight event is sponsored by the Diocese of Dodge City, and will include one adult chaperone for every eight youth. The cost is $35 if paid before March 16, and $25 for subsequent family members. Late registration is $50. The fee includes rally materials and meals.
