Filipino priests welcomed in the Diocese of Dodge City |

Father Rene Labrador arrived in Dodge City in May, 2006. He will be assigned a parish soon.

Father Bernard Felix begins service in the Diocese of Dodge City

En Ingles -- Some 40 youth gathered at the parish center at the former Our Lady of Guadalupe parish center in Dodge City Jan. 14 for a youth encounter. Youth from the parishes in Dodge City, Garden City and Liberal participated in the event. This diocesan youth encounter was in preparation for the first ever National Encounter for Hispanic Youth and Young Adult ministry to be held June 8-11 at the University of Notre Dame. The main work of the gathering was to collect, analyze and organize the conclusions of the parish processes and formulate a working document on youth and young adult ministry for the diocese. The process of the diocesan encounter was meant to help the participants analyze and prioritize the pastoral needs of Hispanic youth and young adults in the diocese. The group also elected the diocesan representatives to the regional and national encounters. |
