Domingo "Roy" Guerrero
, 64, of Ulysses, died June 25, 2006. Survivors include two sons, Dimas and Domingo Jr.; two daughters, Blanca Rodriguez and Mickey Cortez; a stepdaughter, Josie Molina; four brothers, Mike, Jose, Natividad, and Stil; a sister, Corina Vaasquez; 17 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.Beatrice Steinert, 87, of Immaculate Conception Parish, Claflin, died June 30, 2006. She was a member of the Altar Society. Survivors include six sons, Roger, Lloyd, Jim, Carl, Roy, and Don; two daughters, July Schmidtberger and Mary Steinert; a sister, Sister Venard Venus; 32 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. Nayelie Carmen Solis, 12, of St. Anthony Parish, Liberal, died July 3, 2006. She was born Nov. 5, 1993, in Liberal, the daughter of Pablo Ramirez and Yesenia Solis. She completed the sixth grade at Sunflower Intermediate. Survivors include her mother and father; two brothers, Xander and Zadrie; grandparents, Crecensiano and Antonia Nevarez, and Trini Lopez; and great-grandparents, Lazaro and Francis Nevarez. Father John Fahey-Guerra presided.
Marie B. Schmidt, 92, of St. Michael’s Parish, LaCrosse, died July 7, 2006. She was a member of the St. Michael’s Social Commission. Survivors include six sons, Garry, Joe, John, Galen, Richard, and Mark; two daughters, Mary Beth Wagner and Debra Hollis; a brother, Frank Jira; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Helen M. Young, 88, of Sacred Heart Parish, Pratt, died July 7, 2006. She was a Past Regent of St. Leo Circle Daughters of Isabella No. 644, the Ministry of Praise, and was a three-term officer for the Altar Society. Survivors include a son, Joe; a daughter, Juanita Lubbers; two sisters, Roselyn Thome and Josephine Albers; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Rev. Jermone Beat presided.
Mary Agnes Yarmer, 78, of St. Ann Parish, Olmitz, died July 12, 2006. She belonged to the Altar Society. She is survived by her husband, Milton Yarmer; a son, Melvin Yarmer; a daughter, Marlene Hassenplug; two sons, Maurice and Michael Yarmer; a sister, Margaret Mix; a sister, Mathilda Prusa; a sister, Marilyn Degenhardt; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Esther J. Baker, 89, of St. Nicholas Parish, Kinsley, died July 11, 2006. She was a former altar society member. Survivors include six sons, Robert, Newton Jr., Alvin, Samuel, Edward, and Thomas; four daughters, Eva Marie Scherer, Joan Ford, Theresa Cheeves, and Mary Boman; 26 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Maria de Jesus Lopez, 80, of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Dodge City, died July 12, 2006. Survivors include two sons, Raul Mendoza and Raymundo Mendoza; three daughters, Irene Mendoza, Maria Elena Quinonez and Maria Isela Cano; 16 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Greg Enrique Rosales, 19, of St. Stanislaus Parish, Ingalls, died July 12, 2006. He was a musician. He is survived by his parents, Demetrio and Nora Salazar Rosales; a brother, Demetrio Jr.; a sister, Erma Rosales-Palma; grandmother, Andrea Salazar; three nephews; a niece; and numerous aunts and uncles. Luis Carlos Vidales, 20, of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Dodge City, died July 10, 2006. He is survived by his mother, Maria Elena Vidales; his wife, Aracely (Barrera); two brothers, Roman and Ivano; five sisters, Flor Estela, Lorena Vidales, Carmen Celia Vidales, Erendida Vidales, and Sonia Vidales; and grandparents, Guillermo and Carmen Vidales. Florence I. Zellner, 83, of St. Mary’s Parish, Garden City, died July 12, 2006. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society, Marienthal. She is survived by her husband, Joseph W. Zellner, Sr.; three sons, Joe Zellner Jr., Ben and Gary; three daughters, Geraldine Ridder, Mary Lynxwiler, and Florence Kough; three brothers, Louis Baker, Joe Baker, and Bernard Baker; and five sisters, Marguerite Zellner, Mary Ann Winter, Celine Wimmer, Imelda Smith and Inella Scheffe; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Reva Jean Hornung, 59, of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Windthorst, died July 14, 2006. She was a member of the Altar Society, and made the handwork on baptismal gowns at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Survivors include two brothers, Gerald and Fred; and three sisters, Mary Ann Johnson Brehm, Sherry Nau, and Theresa Barnett. Father Ted Stoecklein presided.
