Called & Gifted workshop to reach a multitude

Sherry Weddell, one of the founders of the Called & Gifted program, speaks during a special, filmed workshop in Dodge City. Father Henry Hildebrandt, hidden in a back room at left, directed three camera operators via cell phone. The video will be distributed internationally.

Two Called & Gifted workshops recently occurred in the Diocese of Dodge City. One of the workshops, May 21-22 in Great Bend, was typically designed to empower its participants to aid a multitude. The other, June 10-12 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Dodge City, was video-taped to be sent out to a multitude of parishes across the globe.

The Called & Gifted program is designed to help people discern their gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The Catherine of Sienna Institute, which produces the workshops, recently enlisted the help of Father Henry Hildebrandt, who filmed the program and edited the videotape for mass production.

More than 400 people have participated in Called and Gifted Workshops in the Diocese of Dodge City.

"The ... workshop is a great way to learn about yourself and how to serve God," said participant, Debbie Snapp.
