On
Aug 25, the second year of SpiritLife will begin with
registration; it is open to anyone who wishes to attend. The goals are:
a) to deepen faith
theologically and experientially
b) to experience a
supportive faith community
c) to develop
co-workers for God’s vineyard.

Requirements: A desire to grow spiritually. Participants
seeking a certificate of completion are expected to attend at least eight of
the 10 program days each year, with make-up reflection papers for any days
missed.
Courses offered:
The SpiritLife curriculum includes Christian
Spirituality, Contemporary Issues, Spiritual Formation Group, Tools for Inner
Exploration, History of Christian Spirituality, Spiritual Development,
Discernment and Lifestyle.
Opportunities
for prayer, quiet reflection and group discussion are provided.
Times: Semester 1 classes on Aug. 25; Sept. 22; Oct.
20; Nov. 17; Dec.1
Semester 2 classes on Jan. 12, Feb. 9; Mar.1,

Classes are from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Additional
process: Spiritual direction formation
sessions: instruction, support and ongoing discernment for these who feel
called to the ministry of spiritual direction.
Cost? Rates before Sept. 1, 2007: (increased rates after
Sept. 1st) $195 per semester commuters; $ 295 per semester overnight.

Celebrating the Paschal Mystery

"The focus of this retreat will be on the paschal mystery as it is understood in the scripture, the liturgy, and in Catholic spirituality. It is the perennial celebration in liturgy and in Christian life of the dying and rising of Christ and our incorporation into it."
Father Frank Coady, with an S.T.D. in dogmatic theology from the Gregorian University, Rome, and graduate study in liturgy at University of Notre Dame, is the pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Salina. In addition to his diocesan positions, he serves as adjunct instructor at Benedictine College, Newman University. Father Coady has given priest and deacon retreats and a number of parish missions.
