Virginia J. Stoecklein
, 70, of Sacred Heart Parish, Ness City, died April 24, 2006. Survivors include her husband, Tom Stoecklein; four sons, Ron, Steve, Craig, and Eric; two daughters, Jill Bahr and Jennifer Stoecklein; two brothers, James Hilmes and Ralph Hilmes; two sisters, Joan Roths and Arlene Roths; and 10 grandchildren. Robert Dean "Bobby" Millershaski, 67, of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Dodge City, died April 24, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean (Millershaski); two daughters, Sonya Monaghan and Roberta Williams; two stepsons, Anthony Millershaski and Raymond C. Joyce E. Conaway, 75, of Medicine Lodge, died April 26, 2006. She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Conaway; two sons, Ron Elder and Greg Elder; two stepsons, Charles Conaway and Joseph Conaway; two brothers, Vernon Nowak and Don Nowak; a sister, Doris Scholender; three grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Lillian Carol Akagi, 67, of St. Bernadette Parish, Johnson, died April 28, 2006. In 1962, she married K. Akagi in Raton, N.M. Norbert J. "Tubby" Leiker, 75, of Sacred Heart Parish, Ness City, died April 30, 2006. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He is survived by his wife, Rita (Raskopf); a son, Philip Leiker; two daughters, Monica Leiker and Marianne Hartman; three brothers, Alvin Leiker, Ronald Leiker, and Kenneth Leiker; four sisters, Marcella Briand, Edna Brown, Dorothy Hurd, and Mildred Koob; and five grandchildren. Father David H. Kraus presided.
William "Bill’ Moeder, 89, died May 3, 2006. He was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus No. 2970. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1941 to 1945 in the European Theater. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the American Defense Service Ribbon. He served in campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He is survived by his wife, Emma (Herrman); two sons, Norbert and Bennett; four daughters, Linda Martin, Barbara Beran, Patricia Haberman, and Carol Scott; a brother, Rudy; a sister, Sister Scholastica Moeder; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
