Redemptorist consultor general stops in

Kansas while on tour of Denver province

Redemptorist Father Enrique López, C.Ss.R., Consultor General of the Congregation, recently visited southwest Kansas while on tour visiting Redemptorist priests of the Denver Province, which includes southwest Kansas.

The Redemptorists have eight consultors general within their general council, which is currently led by Superior General, Father Joseph William Tobin.

While here, Father López visited with the Redemptorist Hispanic missionary team in Liberal, including Redemptorist Fathers Tony Judge, Mike McAndrew, and Jaime Medina, and Brother Larry Lujan. Father John Fahey-Guerra, C.Ss.R. was away at the time.

He also visited with Sister Veronice Born, vicar general Father Robert Schremmer, and Bishop Ronald M. Gilmore, who welcomed Father López and presented him with a painting of Redemptorist founder St. Alphonsus Liguori.

There are roughly 220 Redemptorists living within the Denver province in the United States, which stretches from Michigan to California, and includes vice provinces in Brazil, Thailand and Nigeria.

Every six years, members of the general council tour the provinces across the globe.
