KINSLEY — Large crowds of people filled the "pink building" at the Kinsley
fairgrounds Oct. 14, where they enjoyed German music, food and dance. The
St. Nicholas Parish Oktoberfest fund-raiser included a silent auction,
raffle, craft items for sale, German and Mexican food, and a costume
contest for children and adults. Participants danced the night away until
midnight. At top, organizer Vicky Haskel and her son, Nathan, dressed for the occasion. Fourth from top, Page Hermann, 8, sells items for St. Nicholas School. Third from bottom, Hard working cooks served food for dozens of hungry people. Second from bottom, Lois Coover and Gene Cain enjoy a German meal.
