St. Joseph School in Ellinwood held their annual Grandfriends Mass and Reception, Wednesday, October 13. The school received a $500 grant from Wal-Mart for the Grandfriends program and the Read To The Elderly Across Town program. The Grandfriends program was started in 1986 by Sister Noella Blick, who was principal at the time. The REAT program was started this school year. At left is lead teacher, Marlene Clayton, and pastor Father John Maes, accepting a check from Wal-Mart. Many students and grandfriends are also pictured. | |
