Students celebrate a safe Halloween at carnival

Students, teachers and parents celebrated a safe Halloween Oct. 31 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral School Carnival at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City. The afternoon offered a bake sale, several games and booths, a haunted house, and an assortment of other activities.

Above left, pupils from Sacred Heart Cathedral School in Dodge City enjoy a Haunted House. A hand reaches through  to feel some sort of ghastly/ghostly concoction. Left, Kansas City Chiefs' cheerleader "Morgan" reacts to having her picture taken. At far left, Camille and Paolo Adajar and their mother, Christina, dress for fun at the carnival.  A young participant tries her luck at a "fishing booth," where she had the chance to land an assortment of prizes. Spider Man crawls out from under the belly of a big spider at the Haunted House. Father Ted Skalsky, pastor of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, finds himself in the "pen," where others will pay "tickets" to get him out. "Shannon," "Morgan," and "Brendan" smile for the camera at the carnival.
