, 89, of St. John the Baptist Parish, Spearville, died Sept. 10, 2006. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus, Windthorst. Survivors include a brother, Matt; two nephews; and two nieces. Survivors include four sons, Leonard, Gilbert, Donald, and Eugene; three daughters, Georgine Beat, Doris Ann Harbert and LaRita Beat; two brothers, Dr. Arthur Beat and Paul Beat; a sister, Alberta Dolan; 29 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Lee Charles Bieberle Sr., of Immaculate Conception Parish, Claflin, died Sept. 15, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Janice (Litzenberger); a son, Lee Jr.; three daughters, Kimberlee Ramsey, Lisa Klug, and Jina Murrell; two sisters, Adella Banks and Marietta Mooney; and 11 grandchildren. Rose E. Riedel, 86, of St. Joseph Parish, Ellinwood, died Sept. 18, 2006. She belonged to the Altar Society. Survivors include two sons, Jim and Darrell; a brother, Ed Kaiser; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Father Charles Mazouch presided.
Manuel A. Robles, 92, of St. Dominic Parish, Garden City, died Sept. 18, 2006. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart and the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal. Survivors include two sisters, Susan Mujica and Connie Garcia; and many nieces and nephews. Father Joseph Bahr presided.
Ignacio R. "Buck" Avila, 84, of St. Dominic Parish, Garden City, died Sept. 21, 2006. The former Kansas Golden Gloves Boxing Champion and boxing coach with the Police Athletic League served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Consuelo "Connie" (Rea); a son, Robert; a brother, Jesse; three sisters, Dora Rincon, Carman Avila, and Emily Perez; four half-brothers; and two grandchildren. Loyd D. Morton, 82, of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Seward, died Sept. 21, 2006. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, served on the Stafford County Rural Fire Department for many years, and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Violet (Smith); a son, James L.; a daughter, Mary M. Devlin; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Father Rene Guesnier presided.
