The Dodge City Knights of Columbus Council 2955 are holding a raffle in order to purchase a van to be used by Sacred Heart Cathedral School, and the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

According to Jeremy Rabe, the van is needed to transport students during the week to school activities, and to take the elderly to Mass on weekends.

Raffled off will be a red, 2003 Mazda extended cab pickup with a V-6, CD player, cloth interior, and bed liner, etc... Second prize is a 6.5 horsepower John Deere self-propelled lawn mower JX75, and the third prize is a Holland Gas Grill.

"We’ve raised enough money to pay for the products, the rest will go toward the van. The van is priced at $34,000 and will hold 14 passengers. We’re still a ways off."
