Anna Marie Cruz Sifuentes, 46, of Mary Queen of Peace Parish, Ulysses, died Sept. 12, 2007. She married Angel Sifuentes in Ulysses. Survivors include a son, Angel Jr.; a daughter, Julie De La O; her mother and stepfather, Joan and Lorenzo Madrigal; and seven grandchildren. Father James P. Dieker presided.

Eugene Alan “Crawdad” Naab, 49, of Hutchinson, died Sept. 9, 2007. He was a “roustabout.” Survivors include a brother, Sam; three sisters, Darlene Steinert, Barbara Schremmer, and Donna Menzer.

Duane Parcel, 51, of St. John the Baptist Parish, Meade, died Sept. 9, 2007. He worked as a teacher and coach for the Meade Elementary School. He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Antholz; two sons, Dane Jeffrey Parcel and Torre Owen Parcel; a sister, Deanne Blake; and numerous bother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Josephine R. Basgall, 88, of St. Michael Parish, La Crosse, died Sept. 14, 2007. She co-owned and operated the Cozy Tavern, La Crosse. She was a member of the Altar Society. Survivors include three sons, Gary Rebel, Dwain, and Mike; three brothers, Gilbert, Ralph, and Jerry Rebel; a sister, Vera Munsch; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Father Rene Labrador presided.

Marcellus A. “Matt” Legleiter, 95, of St. Mary Parish, Holyrood, died Sept. 11, 2007. He worked at the grain elevators in La Crosse, Solomon, and Nekoma, before he retired. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2100, Olmitz. Survivors include two sons, Cletus and Robert; three daughters, LaRue Maneth, LaVonne McCarty, and Judy Weiser; two brothers, Joe and Paul; three sisters, Rose Pfannenstiel, Mary Margaret Brown, and Barbara McClure; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Theresa M. Friess, 75, of St. Aloysius Parish, Ransom, died Sept. 16, 2007. She was a homemaker and worked for Deines Corp. and in the dietary department of Ransom Hospital. She was a member of the Altar Society. On Sept. 20, 1955, she married Donald Friess. Survivors include a daughter, Tamara Schweitzer; four brothers, Marvin, Robert, Larry, and Donald Pfannenstiel; a sister, Clara Marie Felts; and two grandchildren. Father David Kraus presided.

William R. “Ray” Zecha, 89, of St. Andrew Parish, Wright, died Sept. 12, 2007. He was a retired farmer and stockman. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Helen Hitschmann; a daughter, Coleen Albert; two brothers, Victor and Clarence; three sisters, Matilda Penka, Lucille Schneweiss, and Doris Weiser; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Father Robert Schremmer presided.

Frank F. Pina Jr., 83, of Sacred Heart Parish, Pratt, died Sept. 17, 2007. He had served in the Army Air Force, serving in the Squadron A 246th Army Air Force Base Unit. He owned Pioneer Tank and Steel Inc., Pratt. Survivors include a son, Mike; two daughters, Connie Meyers and Judy Clabough; a brother, Jake; a sister, Helen Kurht; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Father Gregory S. Le Blanc presided.

Junalie Ann Leiker, 76, of Great Bend, died Sept. 20, 2007. She was a volunteer for the Great Bend Humane Society. Survivors include her husband, La Vern Leiker. Father Wesley Schawe presided.

Mathilda “Tillie” H. Reif, 85, of St. John the Evangelist Parish, Hoisington, died Sept. 20, 2007.  She was a lifetime member of the St. Ann’s Altar Society of Odin and Daughters of Isabella of Claflin. Tillie was an instructor of religious education classes for many years at Holy Family Parish. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Jensen; a son, Tim Reif; a sister, Ann Hunsley; a brother, Joseph Rziha; and a sister, Catherine Hipp. Father Dwight Birket presided.

Andrea Guevara, of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Dodge City, was stillborn Sept. 19, 2007. She was the infant daughter of Andres and Denisse Guevara. Survivors include her parents; grandparents, Maria Cerda, Enrique Guevara, and Ricarda Guevara; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Father Ted Skalsky presided.

Barbara Jo Moeder, 56, of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose, Great Bend, died Sept. 22, 2007. She was a homemaker and assistant manager at the Wal-Mart pharmacy. She belonged to the Altar Society. Survivors include three sons, Adam, Travis, and Paul; a sister, Sheila Becker; and two granddaughters. Father Reginald A. Urban presided.

Veronica Schreibvogel, 95, of St. Mary Parish, Garden City, died Sept. 22, 2007. She was a homemaker, and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and Our Lady of Perpetual Help No. 781. Survivors include a sister, Lasta Schreibvogel; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Father Colin Boor presided.
