We have updated the Diocesan NFP page of the Marriage and Family Life section of the website. Visit to see an updated listing of teachers, classes that are happening in the diocese, and online classes that are available.  There is also an excellent video from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee posted that is a wonderful introduction to what NFP is and why couples should consider using it in their marriage.  It is a great resource to share with engaged and married couples in your parish.

THEO 4053 Worship and Faith (3 hour core course Fall 2017)

Instructor:  Fr. Frank Coady

Course Description:  The Church’s Creeds evolved out of a doctrinal concern, but they were always more than doctrine; they were prayed by the Christian community. The way the Church prayed by her faith, primarily in the Eucharistic gathering, even contributed to the formation of the New Testament. For every generation, the principle gateway into the faith is the way it worships. Thus, worship must be regarded as one of the most vigorous and central elements of the Pastoral Ministry Formation curriculum.  This course will consider the relationship between liturgical prayer and religious imagination, focusing particularly on the meaning liturgy can have for contemporary Catholics, as well as present day challenges.

*This course is one of the core courses needed to obtain the Diocesan Certification in Liturgical Ministry.
