From Deanna Johnston & Angela Schawe, Office of NFP/Marriage & Family Life:
NFP/Marriage & Family Life Workshop at St. Dominic Saturday April 12th
The diocese will be sponsoring a Marriage and Family Life workshop on Saturday April 12th 9am-4:30pm at St. Dominic in Garden City. This will be a Spanish speaking event focusing on God's plan for marriage, an introduction to Natural Family Planning, and how NFP is a way for couples to respond to the call to love and life in the sacrament. Thus far our guest speakers include Raquel Guzman-Vargas FCP of the Diocese of Salina. It is a good opportunity to learn for couples in marriage preparation, couples who are already married, and anyone who is interested in understanding this area of family life in the Church.
From Fr. Rene Labrador, Chair, Presbyteral Council:

From Fr. Wesley Schawe, Director of the Office of Priestly Vocations:
► Bishop John has discerned that there will not be an ordination for the Diocese of Dodge City on June 7, 2014, the tentative date originally set aside. When plans for future ordinations are made, they will be passed on as soon as possible.
► Pastors—would you like to have a Dodge City seminarian to be present and assist with your Triduum celebrations? They would be available in time for a Wednesday evening practice, and through your Easter Sunday liturgies. I ask that you feed them and provide a place for them to stay, but I leave it up to you if you wish to thank them in any other way. I hope you will consider this as an opportunity for you and him and your community. Please let me know if you would like to have one at your parish(es).
► St. John Vianney Seminary Visit - Fr. Wesley has planned a trip for anyone at least 21 years old or at least a college junior to visit St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver, CO on March 16-18. This coincides with Spring Break for many of our college students. If you know of a man who is further along in college, or already out and working, please encourage him. This is an excellent opportunity to see a great seminary and meet some of our Dodge City seminarians. Ask Fr. Wesley or Becky Hessman for trip details.
From Eric Haselhorst, Director of Stewardship:
► Make your reservations for the pilgrimage to St. John Vianney Seminary today! A perfect relaxing spiritual journey during lent. Make sure to tell 5 people about the pilgrimage as well.
