From Adam Urban, Director of Youth Ministry

I am excited to announce that this summer we will be offering Camp Cristo Rey to middle school students!  The diocese has a strong tradition of offering a summer camp to middle school students, and we look to continue under a new name.  This will be held at Camp Lakeside near Scott City, and it is designed to immerse teenagers into God’s love through beauty and nature.  Unfortunately due to staff and lodging restrictions at Camp Lakeside, the maximum number of registrations for each camp is 50.  Please register quickly to reserve your spot as they will fill!

June 10-12th - For those students who have completed the 5th or 6th grade

June 14th-16th - For those students who have completed the 7th or 8th grade

For registration details visit our website: https://www.dcyouth.org/camp-cristo-rey

Volunteers: Several of you have asked to help with camp and I am extremely grateful.  I will be contacting you via email regarding specifics on times, roles, and potentially certain supplies.  If possible I would like volunteers to remain at Camp Lakeside the entirety of the week, but I understand if conflicts arise.  Thanks again for those who have helped in the past and are returning!

From Fr. Ted Skalsky, Marriage, Family Life & NFP
We have updated the Diocesan NFP page of the Marriage and Family Life section of the website. Visit www.dcdiocese.org/nfp to see an updated listing of teachers, classes that are happening in the diocese, and online classes that are available.  There is also an excellent video from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee posted that is a wonderful introduction to what NFP is and why couples should consider using it in their marriage. It is a great resource to share with engaged and married couples in your parish.

From Eric Haselhorst, Director of Stewardship

Is it time for a stewardship checkup? Of course it is. And, it doesn’t have to be a painful experience. Imagine your stewardship or pastoral council identifying all the things presently done that fall under the stewardship umbrella, then, planning other activities around it? Email today. From Georgina Paz, Safe Environment Coordinator
