THEO 3003 Christian Morality and Social Issues (3 hour course)

 
Instructor: Bishop John B. Brungardt 
Course Description: A study of basic Christian beliefs about the origin, destiny and meaning of the person, the nature of Christian life as the fundamental commitment to follow Christ, and the moral principles that flow from this.  Students will explore the importance of moral "self-determination" through free choices and will explore how appropriate moral choices are made within the Christian faith commitment.  Contemporary moral issues will be studied and analyzed from a Christian perspective.   
Class Dates: Sept. 7, 14, 28, Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26, Nov. 9, 16 
Class Times: Saturday mornings 8:30 to 12:00 noon

THEO 4881 Crossing Cultural Boundaries (1 hour course)
Instructor:  
Course Description: This course seeks to explore ways of finding an appropriate response to varied expressions of spirituality in our churches and communities.  How can our liturgies and worship express and celebrate the richness and creativity of our new multicultural reality as well as deepen our own spirituality?  The aim of the course is to share our experience of working cross-culturally, look at changing liturgical and spiritual needs and explore possibilities of finding a way forward.
This course is one of the one hour courses that may be used to obtain a Diocesan Certification in Liturgical Ministry or the Diocese Certification in Youth Ministry.
