Vocations Events for 2026-2027

November 1st-7th: National Vocation Awareness Week

November 6: Vocations Day
- Location: Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe
- For 5th grade boys and girls
- Description: Learn more about God's call, and what it might be. Holy Mass followed by lunch (please bring a sack lunch), Eucharistic Adoration, and sending forth. Parents/Families are welcome.

November 13-15: Encounter with God’s Call

Location: Conception Seminary College, MO
For High School juniors, seniors, and college students. Adult Chaperones are welcome.
Description: An experience of seminary life through prayer, talks by seminarians, and recreation. Hear and see first hand how other Catholic men have responded generously to God’s call to do and be something more. This is a full weekend of vocational discernment.

December 18: Fiat Retreat
- Location: Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent in Colwich, KS
- For women ages 18 and above
- Description: This retreat is for young women who sincerely want to explore their vocational call to religious life.

January 1-3: Quo Vadis Retreat for Men
- Location: St. Philip Neri Seminary in Wichita, KS
- For high school juniors, through age 30
- Description: This retreat is for young men who sincerely want to explore their vocational call.

Various dates: Andrew/Maria Dinners (6-8 pm)
- December 27: Andrew Dinner. College and post-college men, age 18+, in Wright.
- January 10: Andrew Dinner. High School boys, grades 9-12, in Leoti
- January 21: Andrew Dinner. High School boys, grades 9-12, in Pratt
- February 21: Maria Dinner. High School boys, grades 9-12, in Spearville
- Description: An evening for young men/women to join their pastors and Bishop John for a great dinner, conversation, and prayer, with a focus not just on the priesthood, but on God’s call for every Catholic young man to live an extraordinary life.

March 6: Discernment Day in Great Bend
- Location: Liberal, KS
- For High School boys, grades 9-12
- Description: A day of prayer and talks inspiring young men to live a holy life and receive spiritual tools for how to discern a vocational call.

April 15: Vocations Rendezvous
- Location: St. Philip Neri Seminary & Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent
- For high school boys and girls, grades 9- 12. Adult chaperones are welcome.
- Description: Come eat and play pickleball and volleyball and visit a local parish. Then boys visit the St. Philip Neri Seminary in Wichita while girls Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent in Colwich.

June 5: Holy Hour for Vocations

Location: Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe
All are welcome.

June and July 2026: Diocese Summer Missions

Location: Totus Tuus - check with your parish. Prayer & Action - TBD. Camp Cristo Rey - Overnight camp and day camp at COLG.
For Youth that have completed grades K-12. (varies by mission event)
Description: Grow in your faith and serve the Lord by attending a week of Totus Tuus or Prayer & Action or time at Camp Cristo Rey.
