Vocations Events for 2025-2026
- November 2nd-7th: National Vocation Awareness Week
- November 7th: 5th and 6th Grade Vocations Day at COLG
- November 14-16th: Encounter with God’s Call at Conception Seminary College, MO
- For High School juniors, seniors, and college students
- Description: An experience of seminary life through prayer, talks by seminarians, and recreation. Hear and see first hand how other Catholic men have responded generously to God’s call to do and be something more.
- December 12-14th: Fiat retreat in Wichita, KS
- For women ages 18 and above
- Description: This retreat is for young women who sincerely want to explore their vocational call.
- December 26-28th: Quo Vadis in Wichita, KS
- For high school juniors, through age 30
- Description: This retreat is for young men who sincerely want to explore their vocational call.
- Andrew/Maria Dinners (6-8 pm): An evening for young men to join their pastors and Bishop John for a great dinner, conversation, and prayer, with a focus not just on the priesthood, but on God’s call for every Catholic young man to live an extraordinary life. Register Here
- December 28th: College and post-college age in Wright
- January 25th: High School 1 at St. Mary in Garden City
- February 1st: High School 2 in Larned
- February 15th: Maria Dinner (for high school girls) in Wright
- March 7th: Discernment Day in Great Bend
- For high school boys (9th through 12th grade)
- Description: A day of prayer and talks inspiring young men to live a holy life and receive spiritual tools for how to discern a vocational call.
- April 23: Wichita House of Formation & Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent Visit (Vocations Rendezvous)
- For high school students (9th through 12 grade)
- Description: Come eat and play pickleball, pray at Fr. Emil Kapaun’s tomb, then boys visit the seminary house of formation in Wichita while girls go to the IHM convent in Colwich.
- Tentative Ordination Dates
- May 30th: Tentative Priesthood Ordination
- June and July 2025: Diocese Summer Missions
- For High school students (9th through 12 grade)
- Description: Grow in your faith and serve the Lord by attending a week of Totus Tuus or Prayer and Action.
- If you are a college student, prayerfully consider becoming a summer missionary.
